Little pre-91 Firebird convertible FYI
The rear spoiler...
Had a club meeting a few days ago, a guy was there with an 86 TA with the early style rear spoiler (the 82-86ish version, flat pedastal thing). Anyways, it was identical to the one on my vert, except of course the ends are cut off. I'm convinced thats all they did, took a early spoiler (ordered new replacements from GM?) and cut it and stuck it on the trunk lid. Just another sliced+diced factory part courtesy of ASC. Thanks!
I think thats pretty important for anyone that needs a new rear spoiler and doesnt mind doing a little bit of cutting.

if you feel the underside of the spoiler, there should be a ridge running the entire length of the spoiler from one end to the other and it's maybe 1 or 2 inches wide from front to back and the wing is slightly thicker there. If the ridge is there, it's likely it was a factory wing. Not a sure-fire identification, but a good way to narrow things down.
