87 Camaro z28 converible at super chevy
I went to Super Chevy in Norwalk Ohio and came across a 1987 Camaro Z28 convertible w/ a tpi and a 5-speed. Does anyone know if this is one of the 2 documented w/ a tpi and 5-speed.:hail:

It could be #14 from the looks of it. Unfortunately, we do not have contact information to verify.
What's interesting about this car is the beige top. If it is original (which is likely), it was only one of 96 of the 1,007 Camaro convertibles built. This is a very good thing.
The other interesting fact is that this car has the base no-cost interior. This would be only the second of the fourteen. This is not too good of a thing.

Yes sir, I did receive it along with the pics. Thank you. I apologize for selectively deleting two of the pics you posted above. It was unintentional when I was deleting a couple other "non-essential" posts on this thread. Feel free to post them again if you'd like.
What I mean when I say "not too good of a thing" is simple. People like options. On a collectible car, it is worth more with more options. Most convertibles came with the optional deluxe interior, especially if it has leather. This car has the base no-cost interior. It also does not have Option Package #3 (RPO 1SC). I know this because this package included fog lamps. Did you happen to notice if it has any power options? This would indicate Option Package #2.

No I did not notice. I am really kick'in my self for not finding out more. It was starting to rain and the guy was not very talkative. He did comment on me knowing some much about the car. That is from hang'in out here on thirdgen and I get most of my info from you willie. Thank you. I did go back the second day but the car was not there. I really wish that I had learned more about it. Thanks guys for you comments and check'in out the post.

It's really a long shot Willie but maybe try contacting the Super Chevy people. Maybe they could put you in contact with the owner somehow. If not scope the magazine when it comes out in like six months and see if the guy won anything in the stock 82-92 class.
Maybe if the show is coming to a town by you stop by the trailer and talk with the judges. They are the same judges for most shows.
