MSE Firebird?
My friend was telling me his friend is selling a 82 firebird MSE he said the mse stood for motor sport edidion and that only 100 were made. He said that it came with a 400 engine and has 450 HP from the factory. Is there any truth behind this if anything id at least think it would be a trans am not a firebird.

I found these MSE's online....It didn't say much about the drivetrains, only that these are pretty rare. The black ones are '83's and the red one is an '84. The website referred to these as MR (Mecham Racing) MSE's. That's all I know.

I wonder... Ask your friend if it has an aluminum hood. You can tell by opening the hood, and there will be a big "A" close to the front, with no part number...
that black one looks similar to the car I got my alum hood off of.

82 MR MSE
They made 300 that year. I own an 83 . They made 150 that year . In fact in 1985 only about 30 were made. Mine is #83-0089 and it is going to be for sale.

I wish I could find one with the 440hp 406 small block package. That would be sweet cause everyone knows the early TA's were slow as hell right? ^_-

I don't know about the drivetrains but I do know there are limited numbers of these cars making them very hard to come by. I would love to own one. If he's selling, buy it! Get some pics too.

They look very ugly in my opinion. And for years i didn't see any MSE with those engine upgrades that everybody is talking about.I guess they're extremely rare or maybe it wasn't that popular and they didn't sell much. All i see is the cosmetic upgrade all the time.
