I did the vin and it said that it was a firebird with a l0e TBI.It has the stickers.they say formal on both doors and 5.0 fuel injection on both sides of the bulge on the hood.Is it really a formal that was upgraded or a clone?

 

I know Pontiac made a Formula Firebird. Never heard of the Formal.

Good one cargasm. Hey Jase, I think I found it. You'll need to check your rpo codes. You should be looking for an rpo code ws9. As far as I can tell, this designates your car as a Formula. The vin number doesn't specify between a Firebird or a Formula Firebird. I hope this helps.

yes they did make a Formula (or a Formal...LOL, LMAO!!!!) with a 305 TBI, but they shouldn't have. that motor is a motha freakin boat anchor!!!! my friend has an 89 Formula which is all original with the TBI 305. once he tried to race me (he figured 305 vs. 305-apples to apples...)and he darn near cried i beat him so bad!!!!

 

I guess '91-'92 Z28s had the Formal package when you consider the black "bowtie" grill.
