91 Trans Am Covertible
I FOUND A 91 TRANS AM COVERTIBLE WITH 65,000 MILES. RED WITH TAN CLOTH & TAN TOP. LB9 WITH AUTO. OWNED BY FEMALE. VG CONDITION. ASKING $7,000. THIS IS A GOOD PRICE. I KNOW THAT THERE WERE 555 COVERTIBLES BUT IS THIS COMBINATION OF COLOR, CLOTH,& ENGINE RARE? DOES ANYONE HAVE PRODUCTION FIGURES OR FACTS?

Production numbers on option combo's were not kept. I can tell you that probably just about 70% were LB9/Auto's. Not that many were 5-spds. Red and brown in some what common but it depends what part of the country you are in. I say that maybe 10% of the 91 Production was of the car you described. Remember, these are just my best guesses and I'm sure you'll get feedback from other members with their opinions too.

Thanks for reply. I went to see the car and thought it was in good to very good condition. Definitely all orginal. Normal wear & tear for a car that was a daily driver and owned by a divorced mother of 1. Cloth seat are alittle sun-damaged because it is a convertible. No cracks on dash and doors, they just need alittle Finish 2000 cleaner. The nose needs a spary, alot of dinks and sun-damage. Rest of car is very good, alittle sun-damage on trunk but I think I can clean & wax it, along with rest of car. Not a super glossly shine but I think I can make it better. Hood, doors, and trunk are straight. No accidents, dents or paint jobs, just alittle touch up paint here and there. Has orginal rims that are very good and no dents. An the top is in good condition has little tears here and there by the treads & needs to be cleaned. But back window is clear and it opens and closes tight. All power works fine: wondows, mirrors, radio/cd, head lights & tail lights, dash, A/C blows cold. Engine is alittle dirty and headers are alittle rusty. Carpet has little wear but alittle dirty and even has orginal mats there are vg. She has orginal owners manual and car just got inspected.
Test drove the car for 1 hour and no smoke or shuddering when driven pass 100mph. The only thing is that it is loud. I am used to V4 foreign quite cars. But should it be deep and loud? Exhuast seems fine from underneath. I researched values and good=$6,600, vg=$11,000, & excellent=$15,000. So I thing the car is wroth $8k. I offered her $5,200 and she took just like that. I think she needs the money for the kid. I pick it up next week.
Well I justed to know what you thought? Thanks!

I bought it and just washed and wax it. I am in the process of recoloring the inside. I changed all oils, filters, plugs, distributor, rotor. I love it. Now I am going to look for a 1984 Trans Am 15th Anniversary.
