Pics of twilight blue camaro?
I am considering repainting my 85 SC the original twilight blue. My problem is the car was repainted turquoise and very little of the original paint is visible. I had a Z28 this color but it was so oxidized, you couldn't see the true color. I would like to see the paint before I do it.
Can anybody help me out?

ANYONE???
I know it was used in the 83-85 camaros. not sure of any others. I had an 84 Z28 with the blue and silver ground effects and hood inserts. And the 85 SC I have now was originally twilight blue. but as I said, so faded and oxidized, cant see true color.

It is a decent color, almost black. It looks real nice when clean, shiney, and straight. But it looks like **** when oxidized and beat up. It is also a pretty rare color, and will certainly set your car apart.
If you don't care 100% about originality, I'd consider painting the lower rocker area dark silver with some decal stripes between the twilight blue and silver, similar to the '86 or '87 sport coupe paint scheme. Personally, I think that makes the coupes look much slimmer, sleeker, and more stylish then just one solid color like in '82-'85.
Or, you could add 85+ gfx and paint it solid twilight blue. That would look real sweet, especially since it was never an available color on the IROC.

I would DEFINITELY repaint the car the original blue. A friend of mine a few years back had an '85 SC in that color, and it was very sharp. I'd never seen one in that color before then, and I haven't seen one since.

I have had strange luck with the color of the camaros I have had. The first I owned was an 83 SC that was a deep gold/copper color. I dont remember the name of the color. The other two I have had, the original paint on both is the twilight blue.
The 85 SC I have now had been repainted the teal color GM used on the cavaliers and the berettas. But I am not that big on the teal and the car needs some body work anyway, so I want to repaint it and I thought it might be a novelty idea to make the car look stock but have the 400hp 350 under the hood.
