87 Z28, no options carburated?/

Hi,
Just going to look at a 1987 Camaro Z28, it has no options what so ever, it is carbureted 305 standard trans.
A few questions:
1)I thought they were pretty much all Z28 Irocs, he says it is just a Z28?
2)I also thought the 1986 was the last year for carburetors?
3)I was reading a little on the board about full optioned cars being cheaper because of the volume of these ordered. Any Idea how many of the car I am going to look at were made?

Thanks in advance if anybody can answer any or all of my questions.

Charles

1) In some years from '85-'87, more Zs were made than IROCs.

1985: 68,403 Z28s produced. Of these, 21,117 had the IROC package
1986: 88,132 Z28s made, 49,585 were IROCs
1987: 52,863 Z28s....and for some reason my webpage doesn't have the #s for '87 IROCs. Sorry But as you can see, MANY Z28s were not IROCs...

2) '87 was the last year for the LG4 4bbl carbed 305 V8. In '88 they moved to TBI

3) The option package post was mine Option packages did not start until '88 or '89...

52,863 Z28 Coupe
744 Z28 Convertible
The sum being 53,607 of which 38,889 had the IROC-Z option.

Actually Jason, option packages started in 1987 with RPO 1SA, 1SB, 1SC and 1SD. Chevy was so bad in keeping records that first year... no record of the number of each package was recorded. Chevy's attempt at this was very much in vain. This is the reason why some of the "documented" number of each specific option was incorrect. I can cite many examples of this but won't at this time.
