IROC RPO question

I just bought my car and it does not have RPO B4Z (IROC package), but it does have B2L (PERFORMANCE PACKAGE & ENGINE PACKAGE V8 5.7LPFI)

Does B2L designate IROC on my car? If not what code does?

I'm 99.99% sure the car is all IROC.

Thanks,
Ernie

Drew I hope you are wrong but if not the car is a great clone.

The dash, wheels, grill all have IROC markings. Besides that the car looks to be ALL stock.

Anybody else have an input?

Thanks,
Ernie

Car: 1987 Z28 Convertible
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 5-speed
RPO B4Z was only used when the IROC-Z was an option on the Z28 (1985 - 1987). For these years, IROC-Z's will have both RPO Z28 AND B4Z. Z28's have only RPO Z28.

When the IROC-Z became the base sport model replacing the Z28 in 1988, only RPO Z28 is used (thru 1990). Chevrolet decided not to use B4Z for the IROC-Z, but RPO Z28. So your car is the way it's supposed to be. Drew got it right, it will show RPO Z28.

I agree. My '89 does not have the B4Z package, but it does have the Z28 package and all the IROC markings.

Z28.

B2L is the same as L98, just indicates the car has a 350 TPI. Z28 identifies the Iroc package from 88-90 since effectively all Z28's had the Iroc package. So since your car has an L98, its a Z28, and since all 88-90 Z28's were Iroc's, its an Iroc.

I was just too lazy yesterday to elaborate.
