FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
I talked to my friend and we are intrested in doing L.E.D tails for camaros or firebirds but we need 30 people first and a set of tails to use as a base. the prices listed aren't for our cars but other cars and info on what they can do for us.
this is something similar they have done with other cars
Hey Guy's here is a (example) video of a 69' firebird tailight with TRUE Digital
LED's (not just bulbs) Were talking 128 LED's for our Turbo Regals!! Either
full sequential or Non-sequential . I'm thinking these would be awsome on our
cars so I'm in the works on having them made for us!! Keep in mind ours are longer and would make them look even better! They are easy to install, they come with full instructions and you install them using your own tailights. Never buy another bulb for the rear tailights again!!
Our kit is VERY close to Plug N Play with only 4 wire connections to do. The reason for not using the socket connectors is due to them not being reliable in the past. We use Surface Mounting Technology on our boards.
We use 128 High intensity wide angle bulbs.
*** LIFETIME Limited Warranty! ***
*** 30yr Life Span, If they were left on constantly!! ***
*** If a LED bulb happens to burn out on a board, That whole board will be replaced! ***
NO Cutting or Modifications done to your lens basket at all..
Kit installs in less than 1 hour!
Kit conforms to all DOT and SAE standards!
Price's will be:
Full LED Taillight Kit= $259.00 (full rear set)
Made with dip switch to turn the sequential On or Off
** Prices include shipping!
Please visit: http://www.injectionx.com/lightpage.html to order your kit today.

** We also sell the following kits**

Re: FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
Well from the looks of the other thread this has died out or there has been No progress on this build. Update would be nice!
The most important thing to keep in mind is: "TO KEEP IT SIMPLE"!!
To put this together correctly you will need:
1). ONE decision on the tail light design.
2). 25 or more kits SOLD to begin the production. (comitments on a site just won't cut it by it's self) You need actual money put down so when the manufacture needs there 50% down to start the production "Then it's there!"
Then the manufacture will recive the remaining 50% when they ship.
* There is ALOT of work involved in accomplishing something like this, from the manufacture and from the person putting this together.
So from what I've seen was the fact that there were Two kits to decide on from the beginning, In my eye's that was the wrong thing to do! It ended up being split down the middle with people wanting 9 of each kit (or whatever it was). when it could have been mainly aimed at just one kit with more buyers in the end.
Personally If it were me, I would Keep It Simple and leave the reverse lights Stock and use two or three boards to complete the Red LED section of the tail lights. The stock reverse lights could always be replaced with LED replacement bulbs or the Heavy Duty incandesent bulbs for a brighter look. Thats just me.

Re: FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
I agree, but im the kin of person I like to see what im paying for. I dont want to put money down on something and then it turn out horrible an I just wasted money. I really think the manufacturer should design atleast a demo set. I think once everyone sees a finished project a lot more will jump on it including me.

The bottom line is: The videos of this company's lights are going to all look exactly the same! The only difference is going to be the design of your boards to fit your taillights, Thats all!

Re: FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
I see your point! But you have to think of it like this, Why would any company shove a bunch of there money into designing a product without knowing if there will be a market for it? Look at it from there point of view too, It might be a waste of there money that is why they want to have at least 25 sales to do the design and the production of these kit's.. . But the one thing that most people don't seem to get is the fact that this company has several Video's of there tail lights in action on several cars and including the video used at the top of this thread. I knoe people want to see THERE cars lights in action but they are the "same effect, same lighting sequence, same brightness". Sometimes people just need to have a more open mind towards things. I had people want to see the diffeance betwwen the LED's & the stock lights! Everyone has seen LED's on semi's all over the interstate and THEY ARE ALOT BRIGHTER!
The bottom line is: The videos of this company's lights are going to all look exactly the same! The only difference is going to be the design of your boards to fit your taillights, Thats all!

Every single customer pays for production costs. Production costs are integrated into the the price that the company ultimately charges for the product.
Not if the item isn't profitable.
By doing it this way, they are basically minimizing their chance of lost revenue.

Re: FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
Here is what will need to be done in order to have these made!
1). The company needs a set of the taillights people plan on using for the prototypes ASAP.
2). Someone or I myself will set up a seperate PayPal account for everyone to order there kits from. They will recive a invoice from paypal showing you paid in full. Then every invoice will be sent to me via e-mail and saved into a seperate account. All money is then also saved into the paypal account so when the company is ready for there 50% down payment to start the production it is readily there. Then when the production is done and they are ready to ship, the remainder of that money is also readily there so they can ship.
NO! This can not be done with down payments for everyone!! THEY HAVE TO BE PAID IN FULL!! The reason is fairly simple, The money HAS TO BE THERE for the company so not one single person can hold up the process!!
3). For the person putting this together CORRECTLY it is VERY time consuming and takes a ton of phone calls, e-mails and answering questions on the site, let alone answering all the questions and help when the customers are installing them. So it is a TON of work for the person to make this happen CORRECTLY from the biggining to finish.
If people really here want these lights I will offer to do this for you and see it through till the end for you.
I have just done this for the Buick comunity with there Grand Nationals. They are very happy over the complete dealings with me and nothing ever happened to any money, Daily up-dates were posted for everyone to see, Tracking numbers were sent out upon shipping also. I kept in contact with everyone in the thread as updates & changes were made.
PS: The most important thing to remember here is to keep your light design SIMPLE!
I see people here wanting LED reverse lights! I personally would not just for the simple reason of the extra cost involved just for the 3seconds while your backing up? NOT ME! Hell your just backing up..
So if you want this done and done right I will do this for everyone and make sure you get your kits and get them installed right.

I in if its for a 89 Formula, I'll even offer mine for prototyping. Also reverse light are very easy to add, if we are going to do this, why not do it all at once.
Also nothing against you, I haven't been on this website very long, but how do we know our money is safe with you?

I dodn't have to do this for anyone here! It was just a sugestion in order to help you get them done & done right.
First of all, I would never even start this project unless the two other guy's that started the other thread either backed out and said they were nolonger going to do this.
So, If they say they no longer want to do this, I will. That is if everyone here is okay with it.

Re: FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
What's the advantage over this kit for 250 bucks and say spending 14-20 bucks a bulb and getting the LED drop in replacements? Besides maybe being brighter.
edit: nm, i see. They do special effects.

Well Eric I had just done the same thing for the guys with the grand nationals on turbobuick.com and they never had one single peoblem with my dealings, They speak very highly on there and 99% of them have never met me before either. My buisness dealings speak for themselves..

Re: FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
1) Sequential (cascade effect!) or Non-Sequential by a simple Dip switch.
2) Limited Lifetime warranty- (if a single bulb happens to burn out on any board, It is replaced at No Cost to you!)
3) The Buick Grand National lights have a total of 160 high intensity wide angle LEDS on circuit boards, resulting in a way more even LED look accross the tail light lens.
Now here are some of the down falls of the cheap replacement LED bulbs..
1) Not reliable at all.
2) They still emit the same round bulb look just like stock but brighter. Nothing special!
3) No Warranty at all.
4) Built in mass quantities from china.
5) Last but not least, They will cost you about $100 for those cheap replacements. So why would'nt you want better quality, warranty, and a sequential cascading effect for $150 more?
I value your oppinion, It's your car! You are certianly entitled to do with it as you wish.

Re: FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
I've been interested since Spaghetti eng. first whispered these sweet nothings into our ears....literally, sweet nothings. What happened??? I'm still interested and would be willing to spend money if this comes to fruition. I am, however, taking this thread with a grain of salt seeing as how we never heard anything from Spag. Eng. and the original poster hasn't responded since late May.

toxik IROC is a man of few words, but I think he is as serious as anyone about getting these LED tails done. He was the last person to commit to the Klearz tail lights that are on the way right now. Consider myself on the list right now, if they can do the corner section.

Thanks for your kind words.
Questions:
1. what color are the bords going to be?
2. Will the reverse lights be stock or L.E.D ( Im down for the L.E.D)
3. Will the cornner section be done too?
4. Some people bought the " Klearz tail lights " with the amber section blacked out or shadded in with red, could or would these L.E.D be sequential too?

Okay, Please let me first begin with me not being on here in awhile. The reason is I was under the impression the other guys that started a different thread were going to follow thru with this project. I don't know what happened from there stand point and why but if I know for sure they are not going to do this anymore I will do my best to continue from this point forward.
Please excuse me for being away for so long but thank the guys that contacted me saying you guys were needing me back.

Did you actually read the thread???? Maybe you should read the whole thread before posting a question like that. Cause if you had, then you would already know the answer!
Newbies
But to answer your question, boosted6 (Scot w) is trying to get a company to start making them, but it is slow going process.

Re: FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
Please keep in mind that making a new quality product for a new car takes ALOT of time! It's not like this comany has notiong to do! They are VERY buisy and I would venture to say they are TOO buisy! They were just awarded "Product of the year" at SEMA just this year and have took on several other BIG jobs. So the jobs like these third gen taillights that are not bringing in any money at the moment are kind of at the end of the list so to speack.
It's not that they don't care! It's that they are swamped!
I spoke to them today and should have some word very shortly.

Re: FULL L.E.D. DIGITAL TAILS
Please keep us up to date... I am working on my build right now and have new lenses but will hold off on putting it all together for these. I will DEF buy a set if its in the next couple months... Once my lenses are set, riveted and glued I am not ripping them apart because these lights are turning out to be wayyy to expensive
Thanks!
Thanks!
