Ryan, how can I make sure it will clear? Also, I was wondering if the A-arms and strut brace were available in chrome moly...

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
UMI, is your new strut brace designed to use existing holes and not to drill new holes in the sheetmetal? if so, i am getting one!
----------
UMI, what kind of weight savings are you lower A-Arms compared to stock? and how much stronger are your designs compared to stock?

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
Ryan posted earlier that today is the last day to order. Can you give us a time that we have to place the order by today. As I am debating on ordering more items and just undecided on everything I want
----------
Is that until 11:59 pm Est time zone May 9 I am just undecided on my complete order yet
----------
20 orders have been received! Actually I think its at 22
I will extend the GP pricing until the end of next week, the sale will end on May 9th making the 9th the last day to order.
The received orders have been processed. We are shipping orders in the order they were received, at least as much as possible. Please allow 3-5 business days to ship these orders... 20 orders at one time takes a few extra days
Also remember, the strut tower brace is in production with no set ship date... so please allow additional time to ship this item as mentioned in my earlier post.
Thanks everyone, we appreciate the business!

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
Hey Compuwiz, I ordered the A-arms and I got a confirmed notice payment complete and shipping in 3-5 days on Monday. I emailed them on Wednesday to make sure this was still the case. I just got a reply back today and they said it would ship out now on Tues. or Wed. They must of had some delay for some reason, unfortuneately my car is off the road until I get these in. So I hope they ship soon.

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
little upset in the speed of the shipping umi actually
i was told mine was suposed to be one of the first orders shipped out.. and i have not recieved a shipping notice yet..
.. it has been since last friday since i orderd..
i understand you were waiting till 20 .. and you had gotten it on saterday as far as your quota... so that is still 6 days now i have not recieved a shipping notice.. and i feel that it is unaceptable.. for the time im waiting for them i could of ordered them from somewhere else and had them allready.. i was told on the phone they would be shipped wendsday and i would have by friday.. so i set up a guy to weld them for me today.. along with my roll cage.. he was giving me a cheeper rate since i was having done together and now i have to pay more to get this stuff done..
at this point if i dont recieve the items by wendsay.. i will ask my money back..
btw .. IT IS ILLEGAL to CHARGE someones CREDIT CARD BEFORE SHIPPING AN ITEM... but i dont car about that i just want my parts..

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
I feel for you man... I'm in the same boat. I ordered on 4/30 and no record or info on website. Sent email with no response. Called them on Friday, 5/9, and after a long time of waiting, I was told my stuff would be shipped out on Monday, 5/12. This was my first time ordering with UMI. So, I'm not sure this is their usual practice. Didn't think it would take this long to get LCA/Panhard combo and Relocation Brackets.

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
You guys need to understand that we processed 20+ extra orders in ONE day in order to do this group purchase. Plus we still have all our orders we receive every day. Some of these orders were larger orders and some were small. Some of the smaller orders shipped early since they were single items, multiple orders are taken a little longer.
I understand it sucks it wait, but I was nice enough to offer you 15% off when a few members requested a GP.. I did and if I am going to be told its illegal to charge your card I will just stop the group purchases. We can't do it all, we can't offer 15% off, run GP's and ship all orders same day... if you want to save a few bucks you may need to wait a little for your parts. Most of you have saved $50+ dollars on your order and we take that hit, not you!
This is the third year in a row we have ran these group purchases and we have NEVER screwed a single member here. Everyone has received there parts.
On a side note, thanks to all that have patiently waited.

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
yea guys, calm down. most orders are built to order, they dont keep 100 sets of SFCs and stuff on the shelf all the time, they are a "small" company and cant keep that kind of overhead. I have ordered form UMI many times before, and in 3 GP's and have never been screwed.
No offense guys, but we done need smart a$$ people bitching over little things like this to the point that they **** of the board sponser to the verge of stopping offering their GP's for us.

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
no one is blaming anyone, there was a mistake and that should be brought up in a PM to UMI, not in the public domain
anywho, i dont know if the 3-5 days shipping is, "you will have it in 3-5 days" or "your order will usually ship out in 3-5 days"
If you have a problem, PM ryan at UMI, he's a busy guy, but you will get an answer.
firebird896, that was not very polite

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
i guess i look at things differently..
since this is a forum and all.. i feel everyone should see the situations that arise..
things happen.. i ddint post this to make problems for umi.. as i said before.. they look like a great company.. and there parts are emaculant.. and i have said that.. and many others have..
BUT
at the same time.. the customers and users should have the right to see the situations as well... keeping everything hidden IMO... is not they way to go..i would rather see..." o ok they have some issues here and there.. minor but over all they are a good company" verses the attitude like " o they are perfect .. blah blah blah perfect this and perfect that".. to me it would seam phony.. but i guess i just view things differently..
i guess next time ill keep it private...

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
well, there is a vendor feedback fourm and a user feedback one too
i didnt mean to keep all the dealing hush hush, but this is a GP section/thread, an issue here should probably be put into a PM or into the feedback fourms

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
I was also bummed I didn't get my parts on Friday. I've never ordered parts from UMI before so I dont know personally what kind of quality to look forward too but based on what I have read and by pictures on their website, it seems their parts are worth any wait. I just want to get the parts I ordered on my car before the 18th (next autocross event) which shouldn't be very hard to do.

Personally, wouldn't set up an installation until I actually had the parts in hand.

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
I'm not going to hide at your comments 86TA & Firebird896. None of my comments were directed at UMI personally. I was explaining my order. Am I expected to know the small things I ordered were "built to order"? After 9 days of nothing, I'm curious to know what's happening with my order. And, if you say someone shouldn't be, that's BS. So I call the company, and an employee tells me that I will not find out anything until it's shipped. What? Oh, but that's right, I'm a first time customer. Unlike you 86AT, I don't have prior experience with UMI, and that my order may take a while. There may be others wondering what's going on too. You assume that everyone knows the routine. But, some of us don't. Therefore, you have to resort to calling people smart a$$ and bitching. Although you point out to Firebird896 that what he said wasn't nice, the was just following your lead.
Lopezisgod was clearly frustrated. I was basically trying to get him to hang in there. He has some legitimate concerns that do belong in this type of fourm. Yet, I agree with you 86TA that this wasn't the place for a few of his comments. Like him, until you pointed out there was a user/vendor feedback fourm, I didn't know either. You have a lot of advise/knowledge 86TA. I don't know, maybe I assume too much in expecting someone of your stature to express himself better than to resort to name calling.
It's obvious that UMI has a great product. Their reputation on this site is why I ordered from them. There has just been a breakdown in communication. We all have the word to be patient. No harm done. Other people reading this thread will know to be patient too.
Lastly, to Firebird896. This GP started off with interest only and then turned into the real deal. But, it took a while to get 20 people to actually commit themselves. You're the type of person who says they will, but never do. Don't get all high and mighty on me. You'll always "have other things to do". When/if another GP comes around, there will be the same excuses that you don't have the money or that you'll "have other things to do". After reading this thread, I expect to see more of your language skills. You only spoke up because of 86TA. I don't put him in the same catagory as you.

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
Well I would just like to say....THANK YOU.....I missed the group purchase last year and I waited for it this year to come around again. I will continue to buy products when the oportunity arrises to save a few bucks. I appreciate the oportunity to get the discount that he offers. I realize that this will put a strain on the production line as they recieve a bulk order like this . The way I look at it is Ryan has stated that doing the group purchase will take a little longer then usual to ship out the parts. If you do not want to work with these guide lines folks , I would buy your products at full price ,when you need it, don't wait for the group purchase oportunity. As you know a group purchase takes time to produce the product, it is just common sense. Thanks again UMI for giving us the oportunity too get products at a discount. As everyone knows these project cars cost alot to build and if we can save a few bucks here and there it is well worth the wait for UMI products. From what I see they only get postive reviews.

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
well, i apologize is i came off as a jerk last night, I'm not here to flame people, just backing up a good guy and a good company. I'm not usually one to yell at people but when i see a company that i have dealt with many time being belittled i have to speak up to their defence. It is true, usually it takes a little longer to get our parts when you buy in a GP, and a lot of time that fact is overlooked and new people don't have the experience to know this, which is not their fault. You will receive your parts, and they will be of the utmost quality, construction finish and fitment, I expect a lot from parts i buy and UMI has always delivered. It will be worth the wait.

Yes I did get worked up last night and am sorry for it. I know you probably think now Im a bad person for saying what I did. I hope you didnt take it that way. I have never had a chance to do a gp yet and got all "high and mighty" because I thought it was the last time for UMI's gp.
I apologize and yes if there is ever another gp for them I hope to buy.

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
I had to wait 4 months for my TQ arm, and 7 months for my A arms. I did know ahead of time that they weren't ready yet at the time of ordering, but I didn't know that they take that long. But for the quality of the parts, it was worth the wait.

I agree, UMI makes some great parts.
About the only suspension part i still need for my car is a panhard relocation bracket and i will go to UMI for that bar when the time comes to bring the exhaust over the axle.

Re: NEW UMI Performance Group Purchase- Looking for interest?
A lil over a month ago I ordered from UMI and it took about 12-13 days to reach my door...and that was torque arm...LCA'S and the relocation bracket and a panhard rod. Beautiful products and I was very satisfied. I was completely satisfied and I felt the shipping was reasonable so thats why I got in on this GP.
