AFR Heads Group Purchase
There is a speed shop in my area that is trying to put together an AFR group buy. If you or anyone you know is in the market for a set of AFRs (at a really good price) and want to get in on a group purchase respond to this thread and let me know.
To get the group buy going we need 4 orders but more is always better. 3 have been confirmed. The guys who are setting this up are able to offer a very good price for the AFRs.
So if you are interested or have questions respond to this thread.

Wow this is more response than I had expected!
The way this purchase is working is that a $500 deposit is required up front. The remainder is due later.
Heads will be assembled unless you really want a bare set.
Because there are several different heads being asked about (i.e. 180s, 195s, etc) to get a quote you will need to contact Matt or Nick at this email address.
Sales@PrecisionSpeedOnline.net
You can check out the website at www.precisionspeedonline.net
Their mailing info is
Precision Speed & High Performance, LLC.
128 Springdale Drive

They will match any pricing so long as they can confirm it.
If there are any questions please reply to this post or contact them directly.
Thanks for the response guys.

Tom obviously with a group buy the prices will be good. However there are other distributors or folks who sell cylinder heads such as those found on ebay or at places like JEGS that buy many sets of standard product (i.e. AFR 1040s) without any upgrades.
In that case the standard price will be pretty low. It is offers such as these that the speed shop running the group buy will match those prices provided they can verify it.

Jstcrazyengh, they will quote the AFR LS1 heads. They quoted a guy who is on another board a set of AFR 205s for his LS1.

Jstcrzyengh, What do you mean by, brand new and rebuilt?<---Confusing. If they have 8000 miles on them, they are not quite brand new. If they were rebuilt after 8000 miles, why? Do you have pics of them (E-mail pics to dss4@uwm.edu or post them here)?
I want to buy a set of 195's. Has anyone heard from the distrubutor of this group buy yet about how much a set of 195's are going to be?
Also, white91gta is right, 190 cc AFR heads are discontinued. I called AFR last week because I didn't see them in their catalog. They also do not sell intake manifolds anymore, but they are still in the 2005 catalog.

Also, what do you mean by ported? AFR has CNC street ported heads (read 70% intake and 100% exhaust ported), or CNC competition package street ported heads (read 100% intake and 100% exhaust ported). Are the spark plugs straight or L98 angled?

My wording was not correct and my punctuation was not there, but what I mean is they are completely rebuilt to handle the LT4 hot cam, serdi valve job performed and the reason I rebuilt them is because I was going to use the LT4 hot cam and I wanted new parts installed. So I had them cleaned up, serdi valve job, and rebuilt. Here is some pics
Sorry for not having better pics... The short block is for sale as well. Completely balanced and blueprinted.

i wish i knew, when i bought the motor is was built like crap and within 400 miles it ate its self, the mains were off, so i had it rebuilt again but i forgot to ask the Machinist what the cr was, and now i dont know how to find out.
