1983 Mecham MSE Firebird Transam for sale
Up for sale is a 1983 Mecham MSE Transam. I literally drug this car out of a junkyard 3 years ago in order to save it. It is #91 out of 150 built in 1983, one of 17 black cars built, and an even smaller number of black and gold built (war paint) and appears to be complete with the wing, gauges, dash plaque, steering wheel, wheels, etc. The car is complete but needs a complete restoration, will need a driver's side door and floor pan repair on the driver side. Black and gold with a tan interior with T tops. 305 with 700R4. Underhood is complete with cowl induction air cleaner and hood. Engine appears stock BUT the oil pan is a gold color so some modifcation was done to the engine either a Mecham or later. I have never cranked this car or even attempted to so engine condition is unknown. It took 2 years to get the title straightened out, but I have a clear NC title in my name. Like I said, I did this to save it. I have owned several 2nd and 3rd gen Camaros, but Firebirds are for you other guys! I will post pictures once I get them to upload. Please contact through the website or direct at 704-301-4139.

mecham MSE Transam
Up for sale is a 1983 Mecham MSE Transam. I literally drug this out of a junkyard 3 years ago to save it. It appears complete with whale tail, wheels, steering wheel, dash plaque, gauges, etc. It is #91 out of 150 built that year, one of 17 black cars built, and 1 of even less built with black/gold war paint. Needs a complete restoration, I have never even heard it run. It took two years to get the title straghtned out but I have a clean NC in my name, obtained 100% legal. Neat rare car. I have owned several 2nd and 3rd gen Camaros but this one is for the Pontiac guys! Engine is 305 with 700R4. Underhood is complete with cowl induction. has a 10 bolt posi disc brake rearend. . Condition of engine is unknown although oil pan is a gold color so some engine work has been done at some time. $3500 OBO

Can't believe someone junked that. Cool find.
If you ever consider parting out, I would be interested in the rear spoiler.

Cool!
The selling dealer of my '79 Y84 "Bandit" TA was a Macho TA dealer. Bob Benson Pontiac GMC, right here in Petaluma, CA.
Out of business, now.
