1984 Pontiac Firebird V6
For sale or trade is my 1984 Firebird. Currently has a rebuilt 3.4 V6 swapped in from a '95 Camaro. Swapped in a newer 700R4, shifts great, re-adjusted shift linkage, shifts into park fine now, but has small leak when sitting, but doesn't leak while running. Going to take it to be fixed soon. 3.4 runs strong, timing advanced a little.. Was recently rebuilt, unknown miles, but very clean. Body is solid with 188k miles, and underneath is very clean, little surface rust on floor pans. This would make a good project car to finish up.
Good:
-3.4 Swap
-New Radiator
-New water pump
-New heater hoses
-New Battery
-Fresh tune up (Coil/Cap/Rotor/Plugs/Wires/Oil&Filter)
-New head/Intake/Valve Cover gaskets
-All new speakers and Head Unit
-New Cig Lighter wired in (Not smoked in, Just for charging phone)
-New rear View mirror
-New economy cat back exhaust (Converter needs cut off still, rattly)
-Tons of little stuff
Bad:
-Needs headliner, Crack in middle of dash, Tear in seat bolster, rest of interior in really good shape.
-Leaky transmission when sitting over night - Getting fixed soon
-Bottom side of drivers side door only rusted spot, will need repaired
-Drivers side rotor needs replaced, shakes a little when you're on the brakes, but brakes work great
-Passenger seat belt doesn't retract
-Needs new tires.
$1100 OBO Takes this home, OR trade for a good running car, preferably something newer and needs no work. Clean title in hand. I need a good car for work and school. I don't have the $$ or time for the rest of the work needed done to it. Send me some offers. All I can say is No.
