Car: 87 GTA
Engine: 385 Stroker
Transmission: T5
Axle/Gears: 3.45 9 bolt
FS: 87 GTA Trans AM 385 cubes TPI
TRADE, but would accept cash. Would take 6,000 o.b.o. out right I have most of the reciepts of the things I have done to the car.
383 Stroker TPI with about 2,000 miles on it. (actually it's .040 over so it's a 385, 6.3 liter) It's a 1piece seal rear main hydraulic roller block.
T-5 5speed w/ 6 puck performance clutch, new flyweel installed with new motor.
LT1 starter, using a ford solenoid to have better access to bump the motor over if I need to work on it.
The engine build up is as follows:
3.75 eagle cast steel crank, Pro Comp 4140 forged stroker rods 5.7", Speedpro Hyperutectic flat tops w/ valve reliefs, coated skirts, full floating pins. plasma moly rings
LT4 hotcam Hyraulic roller, 218@.050 intake 228@.050 on exhaust both sides .525 lift
Procomp 190cc intake runner alum heads w/ 68cc chambers, engine has 10:1 compression.
Trick Flow 1piece pushrods, Crane roller rockers 7/16 studs
The stock tpi intake has been ported heavily. It still has iron manifolds, but I have a set of headders that go with the car, They need more work to make them fit up right with the 5 speed, or just buy a set that will work.
The below link is a chronological time frame of what all I have done to this car from start to finish. Also, the wheels now have centercaps.
http://www.streetcarforums.com/showthread.php?t=93975
Car has a 3" high flow cat, 3" glass pack after the cat, and a dynomax super turbo muffler, has factory for 87 exhast tips tucked in nicely. Wanted to make the car quiet, and achieved that goal. Took it through emissions, and passed after a little tuning.
I have spent a lot of money on this car, and it lacks very little. I drive it every day, the car rolls out pretty good, it's making impressive torque, easily over 400 ft lbs.
It has the nice greaseable upper door hinge bushings from Hawks, and new strikers.
Put a stealth ram on it, and let it breathe, and it should be pretty dang quick.
It has 3 pod pillar gauge set up with an AEM UEGO wide band, an Auto Meter EGT (pyrometer), and an ectronic fuel pressure gauge. (all brand new, and work flawessly)
It has 24lb ford motorsport injectors. A TPIS adjustable fuel pressre gauge, adjustable fan switch
The facory 9bolt disk brake rear end has the 3.45 gear option. Car has silver ZR-1 wheels.
I have all of the factory air conditioning equipment for the car, it goes with it, and worked when it was removed. It was all removed when I installed the new engine, havent gotten around to putting it back on.
I am really needing a 4 door truck, or at least an extended cab. Must be 4 wheel drive.
I can be reached at 423-488-7304, Also accept text messages, or chriswitt1981@gmail.com if you are interested.
Will throw in a brand new Moates burn 2, and 4 EEproms. The cal pack has been socketed already.
I'm sure there are many things I am leaving out here, and I do have a few misc. extra parts that I will throw in with the car.

Take pics of engine bay, seeing as that most of the things that you listed are engine mods, it would be helpful if you would show the engine that you describe.

Also, the ONLY reason this thing has tall chrome valve covers is b/c it was all I could get my hands on at the time. I wanted to keep the factory covers, but the 7/16 1.6 full rollers didn't allow for that. I do have a set of tall centerbolt polished aluminum covers that go with the car. They are not on it b/c I don't have the bolts for them. The heads accept both center, and perimeter bolt covers.

Re: FS: 87 GTA Trans AM 385 cubes TPI
Below is PM I received, thought I would share in case any others have similar questions.
No rust, the paint is almost 2 years old. It has one small dent in the passenger side rear quarter panel, and a couple of small chips in it. one on each edge of the drivers side door, and one at the tip of the drivers side fender. The interior is in nice presentable shape, the front seats have been recovered, and the upper rear seats were recovered. The console is not perfect, but is still in usable descent shape. The console, shift **** ,and the steering wheel are the only things inside the car that have not been replaced.
The oil pressure switch is dripping oil, just found this earlier today. I will be picking up another one on Monday. I also have a walbro 255lph pump ready to go in, but just don't have the time to drop the rear end to do it, and I refuse to cut a hole to do it. Not that the car will one day be worth a ton of money, but I just don't feel like it's the best way to do it.
Tomorrow (Sunday) I am putting a set of Rodlites on it, Trading the ZR1 wheels for them. The front right tire caught the front gfx piece, and tore it a little, so it's getting 15x4's on the front. The rears are 15x7s. Going to put some 255/60's on the rear. Right now they have 275/60's, and they are just too tall for my liking.
hope this helps,
Chris
