man that is a NICE GTA. If I wasn't already up to my ears in cars and payments I'd take it in a heartbeat. Good luck, and bump for a nice car.

Car: 2 1988 GTAs

Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.27 posi's in both
I doubt that is the original stereo. GTAs didn't have CD players as an option until 1990 and that car has the wrong steering wheel. 1988 and 1989 they had the stereo controls in the steering wheel.

The car offered above is a fairly rare car I would jump all over if I didn't already have my '88 GTA (which I found in Montgomery, Alabama in 1999)
Red Baron, I wish you good luck selling this car.

Maybe so, but being that the steering wheel is incorrect gives reason to suspect that other things might be incorrect as well. Only seeing the RPO sticker would say for sure.

A few have questions about what a 1989 GTA with CD Player looks like.
Here you go. (3rd gen fans eat this up when I put the car in car shows. )

That is the CD Player that is in the owner's manual. The steering wheel buttons only came on the cassette model. There were a few variations on that CD Player. Seemingly identical ones came in some Buicks (Bonneville for a few years, I think the Riviera had it too). They were either auto DNR or auto Loudness (can't remember which one) but only the GTA version had both. The other kinds had 1,2,3,4,5 instead of dots where the station preset buttoms are.
Red Barron, that's a beauty of a car. I don't think you should have any problem at all getting $3,000.

Those pre Z06 FRC models were supposed to be the "low cost" new Vette (if there is such a thing). Things like cassette decks, base seats, only one transmission available. I think they only knocked about 10% off the price of a fully loaded C5 coupe at the time.

Still blew me away, even my 95 Trans Am came with a freakin CD player. I understand the "low cost" idea, but the CD player doesn't cost GM any (or barely any) more then the cassette deck I am sure.
