Will 4th gen seats fit in a third gen?
#2
The only catch to this swap is if you currently have a split rear fold down. All of the 4th gen seats I have seen have a one piece fold down.
This will cause you a little problem because the center hinge in your third gen is welded to the transmission tunnel. I removed the center hinge in my application with a hammer and a chisel. The center hinge is just spot welded to the tunnel in four places.
One other solution would be to just cut the rod the seat back hinges on. The rod is about 3/8” and is hollow.
The power part of the seats are also interchangeable.

I have a write-up of the installation on IROC Online and a link can be added in the FAQ. I need to add the slpit seat fold-down issue though but I think most folks could figure that out.
