How can I get parts to modify my computer-controlled Qjet?
First, you need rods and hangars; Damon suggests DR rods and a B or G hangar.
While you can always find these parts by scavenging through junkyard sometimes you just don't have time for that or can't find what you need.
So, first the rods that are still available from the dealer (These prices are through Dal @ VanDevere Olds as of 5/30/2000):
DR: P/N 17053659, 6.90 each
CP: P/N 07045842, 6.99 each
DH: P/N 07048992, 6.90 each
AH: P/N 07033812, ? each
Carbs.net ( http://www.carbs.net/rodshang.asp ) is also a good source of rods and hangars. They have DA/CY, CJ, CC, CE, CK, AY, and CL rods; their prices as of 5/30/2000 were 11.95 per pair. They also have B, G, K, P, and V hangars, for 5.95 each.
Edelbrock ( www.edelbrock.com ) also sells secondary metering rods and hangars (for use with their Performance Quadrajetline). They sell the same hangars and some of the same rods as www.carbs.net above.
You'll also need a faster opening primary vacuum break (the vacuum can), so far I haven't had any luck getting one. Edelbrock is supposed to have a good one but I haven't seen it for sale separately yet.
