where would you put the gas tank?

never seen it done. why not
just use a smaller diameter spring in the stock location?

im using 8.5", and can probably fit 9.5, on a 3rd gen width rear, with a 18" wheel though.

Re: stock rear springs with mini tub

what are you looking to use for tires? are you using stock style suspension? you will have to move the shock mounts and the control arms too. Your almost to the point of a back half.

you can do that without doing anything as drastic as moving the springs to the other side of the frame.

A typical minitub with smaller springs will accomplish this.

if you look around, either here or in suspension, a few people here use that size tire.

yes you can you just have to make a smaller perch for hte top of the spring pocket. the 2.5 should fit right on the stock rear perch.

Im using 2.5" springs with weight jacks on the back of 92 for that matter.
