heres a good one, rotating license plate?

im playing with idea on how to make my front plate go away, for show purposed only, at the flick of a switch. I have an idea that with a small, cylinder type rotation device, i would be able to go from straight up, then 270 degrees of rotation later have the plate flip flat up under the nose. Im sure a pic would be great but i dont have one.

This sounds great in my head, the only problem is i have no idea if such a rotating cylinder thing exists, i've been browsing through actuators, various little motors and cant really find anything like it. Anybody know another place to look, or know of something i could use?

I know its a weird question but im good for that kind of thing.

edit

i believe what i want would be a rotary actuator, with a 3/4 turn?

Also coldn't you use a linear actuator and just hook it to a bracket that pivots on a bolt to make your idea work. Not sure if there is enough ground clearence for the plat to rotate under the bumber though so you might be better with the fold and slide idea.

ahh, no grill. forgot the trans am had a solid nose

Guess without some funky bracket, they'd make you drill holes in your car. The only exceptions are historical registered cars, which you can barely drive anywhere anyway. Can't wait to move back to PA.

i dont think it matters what the car is or is registered as, NJ requires a front plate.
