Tpi runners
Somone may have come up with or talked about this before but I couldnt find any info. Supose you have stock tpi runners and want to open them up some, so I was wondering if it would be reasonable to strech them a little, like how the dent removing kit works, only with a slightly bigger ball. Basically what Im asking is does anyone thing this will split it or tear it.

Re: Tpi runners
from what Ive read there is no reason to do it ... the lower intake is where the flow of air is most restrictive... theres a post some were on here about siamesing the stock runners for the first1/4" or so. You wouldnt want to "stretch" any intake system out , you want to take material away or smooth it out.. the stockers dont have much material to shave so its not worth it, but worry about the upper and lower plenums there are alot of good treads on porting them here just for it... good luck..

Re: Tpi runners
Thing is I can port the base and plenum fairly easy, but good hi flo runners arent cheap, and if I could gain 2 or 3 mm on just the runners then why would I not want to? From what I've read the base and plenum can be ported but keeping stock runners I dont see what it matters how much you port the top and lower half. Isnt there a difference in diameter of the stock and the hi flo ones?
