modified iroc hood????
i need some input from everyone here. the engine i think im going to be putting in my 86 iroc will not fit under the hood. i think the stock hood looks best on the car and hate to change it at all but ive been thinking about doing some cutting and welding of the stock hood to change it into a cowl hood. i would be cutting along the stock lines on the top of the hood and raising it up gradually from the front to the back. im not positive on how much i would need to raise it but im guessing 2 inches or so. i wouldnt go any higher then i need to to get it to fit. anyone done this before? if so how does it look? and what does everyone here think it will look like? im good friends with a guy who does all body work and what i cant do he can do for sure. he does old rods and stuff for people so the work is not a problem for me and would be done right!!!!! thanks in advance for the input everyone!

I'd personally think you could take a daytona hood to someone who is good with fiberglass and have those side holes filled in, dont know too much about this though. I just checked, doesnt look like hawks has the jongbloed hood, but gt fiberglass does (check their feedback before buying from them). hawks does have something though, the "sunoco" style hood, it looks pretty similar to a jongbloed.

Cowl scoop grafted to a factory fiberglass hood and a short aero scoop attached to the top of that.

I'm liken the cowl iroc hood! Has anyone installed z28(late) hood blisters on the jongbloed hood yet? Might look sweet!
