its tough to really get dimensions since they are usually different, i think your best bet would be do just do it. use the stemps they did and make it outa cardboard.

Re: Custom Rear Seat Delete
The ones I've seen, are fronts & tops, and just use the car floor, as a "bottom".

Re: Custom Rear Seat Delete
i bought mine from speedspeciality. I would highly recommend you avoid them at all costs, i have an older post in the vendor review section about them.
anywho, the top is just flat, uses the tab where the side hinge of the seat back attaches to anchor itself, and the front face uses the mounting hole for the seat bottom. If i was to make my own set, i would opt to make a 1 pc box to cover the center bar where the split rear seats mount, mine is still exposed and looks a tad hokey.

Re: Custom Rear Seat Delete
The passenger seat lays ALL the way DOWN, with plenty of dash room. Taking the T-Top out is unnecessary and will only contribute to the chances of rain. :P

rear seats are point less my skinny 150lb but can sit back there and be comfy, plus you dont have to worry about taking peeps with you who want you to make love to the stearing wheel so they can fit in....

Re: Custom Rear Seat Delete
i'll dig it up
cant get the links to work, but here is one rant.
"i have my opinion on these pieces of crap on another thread but i couldn't find it... these things suck so much its not even funny. i got mine in the wrong color, then went around with they guy for a couple weeks and finally they sen me replacement carpet. i stripped the old stuff off and the workmanship was appalling. i mean holy F i could make better cuts with a hammer lol. i spent like 5 hours making the dam things fit my car. i have the cut the hell out of them to make them fit and move 1 of the holes because it was over an inch off.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE LOSERS THEY SUCK, CRAPPY QUALITY. HORRENDOUS SHIP TIME AND E-MAIL RESPONCE.
THANK YOU HAVE A NICE DAY..."
anyway, i cant for the life of me find my origional post about this matter, but here is the rundown in a calm passive tone.
I found these things about the same time i first joined TGO, i had been looking for something like this for a while and here it was! the price was about 75 bux, not bad. I ordered a set of these off their website through the order form they had. Well i ordered grey carpet and the form barfed and it put me down for neutral. the wait time was 4 weeks, so i waited patiently by the mail box. a little over 2 weeks later they arrived, i opened the box and found these neutral colored things. Aw damn, they sent the wrong ones. I contacted them, and it took a few days to get a response. They said that i ordered the neutral carpeting. I had a screen shot of the completed order form and it said grey. So i brought this up and they would not budge on the issue. after a while i got them to sell me the precut carpet in the grey color and i would recover them myself. another 25 bux down the hole. so another week or so went by and the new carpet arrived. I pulled out all the different random screws and staples from the carpet on the boxes and pulled the covering off. I was totally appalled by the construction. the wood, particle board, still had the markings from when they were templated, and you could tell that they well just quickly free handed, nothing straight. the cuts were equally as bad, all waivy and hacked. totally not acceptable. I took this time to "fit" the boxes before i recovered them. I got them all positioned in the car and aside from cutting the living daylights out of the things to get them to fit properly, and i find that the top mounting hole in the driverside box was over an inch off where it was supposed to be. i had to re-drill the hole. the holes them selves looked to be made with a punch, not a drill, as they were not round, neat or clean. there were even little aluminum "re-enforcement" piece that wrapped around the wood where the holes were. nice touch, but the holes in them were not drilled either, just hacked with tin snips or something.
I finished up about 5 hours later and went to "bolt in" these "bolt in" parts, just to find that the supplied bolts were too short. off to the hardware store for bolts. Finally there are in.
they fit now, but do not cover the floor all the way over to the door area, so you can still see the mounting hole in the floor from where the seatbelts attached.
I still have them in the car, but im looking to do away with them. the carpeting is cheap, and the color does not quite match the carpeting in the car.
Sorry, a bit long winded, and not quite the readers digest version, but the point is made.

Re: Custom Rear Seat Delete
LOL well thanks for taking the time, if they were done right and looked like the pics they would be sharp, espicaly if you order matching carpet form Year One, i wanted to put a single 10 in one, and on the other mount the amp for it and the amp for my CB along with a nice fire extinguisher one there (not one on the a piller like a rice boy LOL) and a mag light like in the pics, but im leaning more to having it smooth over the tunnel, but resting on top of it so its not high. Anyone know if a rockford fosgate punch 2 10" will fit without touching the metal "floor", AGAIN GUYS!!!

Re: Custom Rear Seat Delete
i just pulled out the seat back and left the seat bottoms in place. actually without the seat back in, it opened up alot more head room in the rear. this way i could retain the use of those seats if i had to. after all im not sitting in them, why should i care about how it feels back there.

Re: Custom Rear Seat Delete
82RS ... the picture you posted 10/8 is one I submitted a while back. I made my own piece out of plywood covered with carpet. The picture you showed actually has the back seat folded down and underneath. The cover is a single piece that is supported by the rear arm rests. the piece in the rear footwell is a three segmrnt piece also made of plywood and covered with carpet. This was an execise I did in anticipation of a rear seat delete. My plan was to have storage where the rear seat used to be.

Yea KURT,its growing on me, it kinda looks like it could of been original, especialy if you have all the same capret, got thinking about it and the laying the seat back would be so rare, it may be worth doing one like that, i could build it according to how i like my seat when i drive to make sure it dont mess with that......... one day when i feel like cussing alot i will probably go out in the garage and work on one

I'm thinking of doing an angled delete. One that goes from the top of the backrest down to the area below the legs. Then mounting my subs in that. I do kinda like the boxes and hinging them idea though too. Anyone tried the angle idea though?
