how to make a lift plate
i need dimensions on a lift plate that mounts to the intake so i can make one i work at a sheetmetal company so i can make one for free

There's things in the world that are so cheap that "free" is no longer significant, by comparison. I think you may find that this is one of them. Especially if you don't get it quite right and drop your motor as a result.

I would normally agree with you sofa, but that summit one being over $20 bucks ( unless you order other stuff you'll pay about $10 for their shipping and handling) I'd still build my own. Plus, after talking my wife into some of these more expensive fabrication tools, every little project that saves $20 helps make the next big purchase easier.
Not sure what dimensions the original poster needs though, looks like a 5" or 6" square would work well. As for the holes just grab a carburator gasket that you use under the Edelbrocks, the ones that have the 2 differant sets of mounting holes, and use it as a pattern to drill your holes.

We have a laser at work and i made a run of 50 out of 304 Stainless steel. I sell them at the swap meets for $15 bucks. They are really nice.
