Boyd Coddington might be able to do something for ya, but the price from anywhere is going to be insane.

How much are you ready to spend, and what size wheels? 3 piece w/ a machined center section? If you're thinking of a full billet wheel, aluminum goes for $3-$4/lb, and a 17x9.5 rim will start out as a 250 lb chunk of aluminum + many hourse to turn that down to size.

Heh, yea, there was some guy on one of the machining forums that machined his own wheels… they looked pretty sweet but he figured that they cost him 2-3x what buying similar quality custom wheels would have cost him just in materials (his labor and equipment were free).

Actually, thinking about it, the trick would be to get some 3piec outer rims and machine your own center for them, if the bolted together look of 3piece tires is OK…

I didn't know that. I just remember watching an episode on the Discovery Channel of his nerdy CNC guy making some custom wheels.

Has anybody actually determined this to be true or just a rumor? When I called Boyd Wheels a couple months ago to become a dealer, they made no indication that they were bought out by ARE.

Likewise, I'm an ARE dealer, and I've received NO information stating that I have access to the Boyd line through ARE yet.

Nevermind. Just found it on the American Racing site.

I hope this means I can get better prices on the Boyd stuff now.

actually he (charlie) wanted to paint a single solitary car for Foose.
He even made that clear that this would be a one time deal.
But Boyd freaked out and gave him the ultimatum. Charlie left to work for Foose, and probly makes more money and alot less stressed.

I dunno but after seeing some of these shows, I am actually glad I do not work for, and probly would never work for some of these "big named" guys.

Foose seems cool as hell, Boyd... well he just comes off as a serious *****...

He's talking about Mike, not Charlie.
