Lexan / Plexi-Glass Windshield

I did a search and only came up with plexi glass side windows and hatches, if its already been covered can i please have the URL?

I was wodnerign how many of you have tried a lexan or plexi glass windshield, how much it cost you, how hard it was, and any downsides to having it, problems you've had, and would you recomend it...

And yes i realize this isnt quite legal...
neither are a lot of other things we do
Thanx

I wonder what a jumping rock would do? chip? scratch or what? That's what I'd be afraid of...

Ive never seen a 3rd gen with a plexi window that looked good. if the car sits in the sun with the window closed the winow may sag because it will sofen. if a rock hits it it will most likely put a crack in it

The windshield is actually a structural piece in most cases, unless you've added a rollcage or something. Don't know that I'd want to weaken mine without some other measures.

Car: too many ...
Wow TPI383, great link. That guys hatch setup is DOPE. I was going to say check out Percy's Polycarbonate Glass. Its light and wont scratch like lexan (it can also be tinted). But after seeing close up pics of the Harwood Lexan, wow I dunno what to say. That install is smooooooth. Didnt know they made fiberglass decklids either ... talk about stock appearance weight reduction! Great link!
