WTB 1982 Recaro T/A Gold N89/55P Wheels 15"
I'm looking for a set of gold painted 15-inch turbo cast aluminum wheels for a 1982 Trans Am, Recaro edition. Take a look at the pic and you'll see exactly what wheels I'm looking for.
A lotta people took the wheels off early on in their car's life, when they got frustrated with the hubcaps flying off around a curve, so I'm hoping to find such a set that's been preserved in storage.
The wheel code is N89 and the paint code is 55P. If the wheels are in good enough condition to fit a low-mile car, I'll pay top dollar! Hubcaps would be a plus, but I can do without them.

Thanks dave mc, I should've known it was a hoax! You're active every single day all over the boards, with public and private messages all around, yet you won't answer a single email I sent, any public message I send, or any private message I send about these wheels you say you have, and I've been trying you now for, what, 4 days?
Keep your wheels.. I'm on to Plan B; take a nice clean set of silver N89's and have 'em cleaned and custom painted Goldwing Metallic myself, for about 10% of your asking price.

as far as I know, the Recaro wheels were just N89's painted gold. They didn't have a separate part number, at least from what my parts book says.
If you are interested in some caps I have a set, minus the arrowheads. It would be next to impossible to find a set with the gold arrowheads anyway. The caps are all in pretty good shape, one having some missing tabs but still will work fine.

I have a spare set of N89's which I will be painting gold myself when the paint arrives, and besides that, I have a really solid lead on some of these original gold wheels from a friend of mine, so I'm officially declaring this thread DOA.
I agree with you, there was probably no specific RPO, but 55P was a valid RPO in 1982, and it means gold painted wheels. Combine that with N89, and it can only mean the exact wheels I'm looking for. The part number should still be 10017891 or whatever,
