4 ORIGINAL (not repo) 1992 Z28 Wheels Unused

Hey ThirdGen,

Anybody have thoughts on what these wheels might be worth? I am not entertaining offers on them right now so please don't tell me what you would give me for them. I just would like to know some thoughts on value.

I have 4 original 1992 Z28 wheels that have 14 miles on them. They were driven from the dealer to a tire store where they were immediately taken off the car 23 years ago and they have been in storage ever since!

I was going to use them on my 87 IROC. But I'm betting these are possibly the only UNUSED set of original wheels in the world. I'm thinking they would be better suited for someone who is doing an all original restoration.

These things are absolutely pristine. Not a single mark anywhere on them. Unfortunately the center caps have been lost but those are pretty easy to get.

Thank You

I would say the demand has a lot to do with the value. There's a guy in Arizona selling an full set of the base camaro wheels from a thirdgen that were thrown in storage in boxes when new, and he hasn't been able to sell those yet. They were at $500 at first but after a few months, he dropped it down to $475. The Z28 wheels are more desireable though, so I would imagine in Arizona, a pristine perfect set would go pretty quick for 400-450. I bought mine for $225 off somebody locally, but they aren't super perfect. I would say probably 400-600 range which will probably depend greatly on the demand at the time they are being sold.

Also depends on the color.

Yeah, color will have a little to do with pricing but 500-1,000(future) may be a good number.
The problem is, someone with a low mile car won't "need" them, someone with a restored car won't pay "new wheel cost" for them.
