[SOLD] glasstek 4 inch cowl hood
I have a 4 inch glasstek bolt on cowl hood that I was going to use for my Ls carbed conversion. Going fuel injected instead and using the stock trans am hood. Only thing wrong with the hood is the one nuts for the hinge came loose. $300 and don't want to mess with shipping.

Re: glasstek 4 inch cowl hood
hey man, i might be willing to take it! I wanted a 4" pin on glastek hood, but Im now sure if the bolt on is any different on the underside. Can you take some pics of the underside and perhaps get a measurement of the height of the cowl from the underside of the cowl to the bottom of the lip that meets up with the fenders??!
If you got really 4" of clearance in the middle of the cowl i would prob take it. I just need 4" of clearance to clear my air cleaner since my BBF sits 4" above the fender line.

Re: glasstek 4 inch cowl hood
I have a 4 inch pin on glasstek on my GTA and the cowl itself is pretty much the same. The pin on is just really floppy. 3 pics for you. 1st one so you can see the whole underside. 2nd pic, if you measure from the underside flat of the hood to the center of the cowl, it's just a hair over 4 inches. 3rd pic, if you measure from the bottom of the lip that meets the fender (I assume you meant this point where my finger is) to the center of the cowl, you have like 4 3/4 clearence. Hope this helps.

Well it sounds good, but its going to be close!
Well since Im making my measurements from the top fenderline the 3rd pic helps but its not accurate. How thick is the side (3rd pic) that way we can just deduct that from the 4 3/4" clearance and get the top fenderline to the underside of the cowl clearance.
this was the height of the aircleaner before i found one that dropped it another 1/2" (true 2" drop air cleaner with 3" K&N filter). Now if you look at the measurements in the pic (link) https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/atta...tered-copy.jpg You will see the measurements, however change the measurements from 4.5" to 4" and 3.5" to 3". The steel tubing is laying on top of the fenders so the measurements are of the air cleaner height above the top fender line. the front of the air cleaner is the highest then the rear tapers down to about 3" above the fender line.
I sent you a PM also!
