PM's sent.
As for where I got the panel from, I picked it up off ebay but that was around 5 years ago.

Hold The Fort, Everyone!!!
The 'Polished Stainless Steel' engine nose filler panel is fake! I was wondering why the shipping was so high.
It is a chromed heavy stamped steel JC Whitney type product!
BRIrocZ; are you aware that stamped steel units like these sell for less than $20 all day long? Talk to me buddy; what the heck happened here. Didn't you notice the little rust spots where the chrome has flaked off around the bolt areas? Nitro

Nope my friend, I was not aware that JC Whitney sold this stuff. Like I said, I picked it from ebay a few years ago and thats what it was called on that add. I also paid about double what I sold it to you for but w/e. There wasn't any flaking anywhere that I saw and the only discoloration that was on it was on the back of the panel. My apologizes if you feel you've been cheated.
PM me and we can discuss what you want to do about this.

Now I didn't use the word 'Cheated'. But stamped steel is NOT stainless steel. It's easy to tell the difference between the two. You wouldn't call a water glass a crystal vase' , or a zirconia diamond a real diamond. You are an experienced Street Racer and should be able to tell the difference between the polished/brushed look of stainless (think of kitchen appliances) and a chrome alternator on an engine.
The 'discoloration on the back is left over chemical wash from pulling it out of the nickel plate bath. That's why it looks like it's been permanently streaked. Are you telling me you don't know what a chrome alternator looks like?
You could have paid $3.00 or $300.00, that dosn't make this a stainless steel item. It's a less than $20 dollar part that you represented as a $300 part. I don't want it and I want a full refund. I'm sorry if someone took advantage of you on Ebay, but you represent yourself as quite knowledgeable about cars don't you??? Again, it's sad, but you say it was one thing and it isn't as described. I'm not attempting to rip you a new one; but I am busy and don't have time to have a long discussion today. Nitro

I wouldn't call misrepresentation if I posted what I thought it was and yeah that was ignorance on my part. All I can say about that is sorry my mistake.
Yeah sure I'll be happy to take my part back and send your money back.

Again, I'm NOT accusing you of 'cheating' or trying to 'get one over' or anything remotely close. This was a businesss deal. You described it as "Stainless Steel" and it's not. I'm not interested in reaming you or trying to prove that you reamed me. I sent you $65.00 and did not get what I paid for. You have my Paypal info and you can tell me how you want the stamped steel piece returned. You also have the shipping info.
It's not a pissing contest on my end. I'm not interested in sabotaging your classified rating or your personage. This is a trust based classified community and I'd hope you'd throw up a red flag if the tables had been reversed. As I mentioned before; it's sad that you were 'taken' on Ebay. I'm just asking that you make it right. Nitro

Honestly though, I’m not sure what it is you think I’m saying in my short and for the most part, to the point replies. No where have I said anything remotely hostile or condecending. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about your post. You’re not happy with what you got, that is understandable but I said I would refund your money. If I’m misinterpreting your words than I apologize for that, I know sarcasm and tone don’t transfer well to text.
I will say this in response to your comment of if the tables where turned, if that were the case I would’ve handled things with a bit more tact. More than likely through pm’s or email.

Morning Joe,
Look, it's not you. I'm absolutely the one who's being pissy here and I'll step up and own it. My bad. This was the third item just this week that I bought off our classified board that was either wrong, not working, missing parts, broket, etc. It seemed like my whole week was sucked into having to have several conversations that are never 'fun' for the buyer to go through. Your Paypal showed up this morning and I thank you for putting up with me. Nitro
