80 Series Flowmaster Muffler
I put an 80 series Flowmaster Muffler on my 84 Z 28 last night. It's my first exhaust mod on this car, and wow!!! What a place to start.
The car sounds great! Man, I would highly recommend this muffler to anybody.
May cost more than some others, but bolts right up, no mods no nothing. It fit perfect, first time!

Hey
I dont really like the sounds on the flowmaster exhaust, I think is sounds fake. If anyone has a sound clip of ur flowmaster post it and see if u can change my mind about the flowmaster. I was going to get one but I dont think that I am going to anymore. Post ur exhaust sound clip, so that I can hear them... Thanks

It depends on what you put it on and how. My friend has an 80 Series on his 84 Z28 with a modded 350 and it is really something to hear, 1 of the best I've ever heard, especially after driving around for a while. Try these:
89 IROC-Z 350 TPI https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/s...FLOWMASTER.mp3 (89Irocn20)
88 IROC-Z 350 TPI http://members.aol.com/Coolj88888/Good333.wav (IROCThe5.7L)
They will sound better in person but these are pretty good.

I have it on my Firebird with 305TBI and sounds ok but needs a deeper sound to it. It has 3" inlet and 2.5" dual outlets configuration.

Well I know it doesn't sound fake on my car. It sounds awesome. I have some engine mods and had this crappy QUIET Midas muffler back there....

I had a Flowmaster 80 series on my 98 Z, and it was LOUD. Flowmaster doesn't release flow charts for their mufflers, and it's highly known that they don't flow as well as other aftermarket ones.
I think they sound good though.

Here's a couple of clips of mine from a few months ago.... that was with a gutted cat. I have since swapped a straight 3 inch pipe (test pipe) in place of the cat and it sounds even better - more crisp sounding at idle and part throttle. The clips are a bit distorted as they were recorded with my POS integral laptop mic.
Sound clip 1 of my GTA at idle with a quick rev....
Sound clip 2 of my GTA at idle.
Flowmaster is the schitt  .

Well this is a compliment if I've ever heard of one...also made me realize that men behave with their cars very similiarly to how women behave with shoes and purses...
I pulled into the local grocery store.....and an employee there who has a 67 Camaro that's always parked outside came running out and asked me, "What kind of exhaust do you have?"
He was supposed to be working but wrote down where I got it, what series it was and all of that stuff.
So, yes, this muffler turns heads.

Is it possible to buy the 3" intermediate pipe from Flowmaster, or Hooker, or Dynomax alone. I still have the 80 Series on the Camaro, and for the time being was curious if I could just buy the pipe pre-bent and put it on. Right now, I don't have time, or all the money to put into the car for my duals.
