350 headers on a 305?
i have yet to take the heads off of my 82 305. I am going to be resealing it until I am ready to throw in the LT1. basicly i have an existing exhaust leak and i dont like manifolds to begin with, will the headers off of my 94 z28 bolt and line up with the ports on the 305 heads? also clearance, will i have clearance? if not what needs to happen to make this work.

If you have a leak at the seals for the manifolds why not just replace the gaskets? Since you're going to replace the 305 anyways it just seems like a waste of energy to figure out how to make those headers work. (Which, I don't think they will).

just weighing my options.. I have the TBI kit just need the reseal kit. while im down there i have to heat up some bolt the broke off so if i was able to i was just going to cut the manifolds off to save like a whole days work on one side. and if i can ill be using these headers with the LT1 on my 82 allowing that they will fit properly

I might just do the work the right way lift the engine yada yada tap out the bolt not looking forward to it but seems like I'll just reuse the manifolds. Thanks for the input guys

LT1 headers do not fit 3rd gens. LT1 headers fit fourth gens. Dont waste your time. You need THIRDGEN SPECIFIC headers for any engine you shoehorn in there, and there are thirdgen specific headers available for all of them.
In fact, I am 98.7 percent certain that ANY D-port thirdgen header will fit an LT1 in a 3rd gen.
