Check your exhaust manifolds if you don't have headers. They tend to warp and impossible to stop the leak after they do. Headers are the way to go. Try the swap. If they aren't warped, tighten the bolts with a 7/16" socket. Oh and get new gaskets for it, that could be a problem too. Header gaskets will work.

stinky exhaust smell: resolved......i had to put up with this for a long time until i sat in my living room thinking bout it one nite and seemed to me like when i started using the private lable gas from the new station that moved in down the road is when the trouble started....im back to using shell gas and the smell is greatly reduced ....it think it will take several tanks of the good gas to bring the car back like it used to be and im really enjoying driving it again.

Re: stinky exhaust smell
My exhaust reeks, I don't have cats so the alcohol in pump gas burns my eyes. I remember folks running a cherry scent additive in alky cars so people in the crowd at car shows didn't gag.
Changing the brand may or maynot help some people, but the condition of your exhaust and emissions system will have the greatest impact.
