4th gen exhaust on a third gen?
Wondering if I would be able to save some money.
Could the Y-pipe back directly off a 4th gen go right under a 3rd gen? If not, cat-back?

The cat backs fit, just hafta tweek the hanger rods or relocate the chassis side rubber sections to mate up with the hanger rods on the exhaust.

A 98-02 cat back will take a little extra tweaking to merge with a 3rd gen y-pipe, since the cat-back starts in a different location. Possible to do, but the 93-97 is easier.

I have a 02 catback on my 92 TA vert. Took a bit of tweaking/ fabing but it fits fine.

The 4th gen y-pipe won't fit at all.
Like others have said, catback will. Some have said all you have to do is swap the left/right hangars and everything will line up perfectly. Mine, however, was not the case. I have SLP LM2
