Best header seals/gasket?
To start off, I have a 1991 Z28 with a stock L98. I recently purchased Dyno Don's headers, and was recommended to get the seals from earlsplumbing. Well they have now been on backorder for 2 months (I havent had time to work on the car, so it wasnt an issue until now.)
I would just like to know which brand/material/etc header seals wouldbe best for my engine. It is a daily driver so i want something durable with the least chance for leaking
Feel freeto suggest specific part numbers.
.
Also, I am not that familiar with exhaust, so I am not sure whether i have a D port or O port or what, could someone please explain this to me. Thank you in advance for any help!:-):-)

Lots of materials & opinions on exh gsks. I personally prefer dead soft copper or aluminum. The coppers been on my truck for about 11 years, when reusing just use a small amount of red silicone, holds up well.

Fel-pro sucks! Get the other one mention above. They will never blow out like Fel-pro. Example, if paper gasket get wet or if the bolts come loose the gaskets will blow out of fall apart. The other can be reused.

Re: Best header seals/gasket?
Well, I ordered the FelPro gaskets, as my plan was to use them in the car simply until the Earls Plumbing ones were off back order since the felpro were only like $15 with free shipping.... but surprise surprise, they told me at least 2 more weeks for the earls plumbing, but as soon as the fel pros shipped, half a day later the earls plumbing gaskets shipped! Oh well, I guess I'll just have an extra pair of SBC header gaskets now, its not like there aren't enough vehicles with 350s in them among my family and friends....

What are Earls made out of copper? That could be a stupid question.

Re: Best header seals/gasket?
Great! I'm using those gaskets and the ARP bolts and washer kit for the headers.

Best headers gaskets I ever used. The only bad thing is they are not re-usable.
