Aggressive Monster
Im sure this has been asked before but ill ask wats best for my set up. I wana know wats the meanest aggressive, ticket getting, neighbor annoying exhaust i should do. ...lol none at all?
My set ups is, 355 with Mild cam, FTcam, FTLifters, Vortec Heads Stock, 600cfm Edelbrock carb, Short Headers, True Duals with 24in long cherry bombs dumped off just before rear end. its too quite to me as is. i can hear my power steering pump over the sound of my motor lol. Tranny is a T-5 standard. so when i down shift id want a Lite Rumbleing backfire, but when floored i wana sound like im bout to eat the car in front of me. im sure my car is only producing about 325hp or less. just want sound.
any ideas?

Re: Aggressive Monster
Can u be more specific on "Cut Out"? that mean gut the cat out? all my exhaust rite now consists of is header, true deals, twin 24in cherry bombs then dumped a foot before rear end. i have no cat. but wat u say is true. i dont really wana be annoying all the time, just maybe when i wana be, cruse thro town in second gear. speed limit is 30 anywho lol. i was thinking maybe a dual in dual out 40 series flowmaster? that way i can keep my ture duals. but i was told best sound is 2 1/2 duels into super 40 flow master 3in single out bout 1 foot then dumped....?

Re: Aggressive Monster
Cutout is a y type section you add one side goes to the normal exhaust system and the other side is blocked off by a plate. When the plate is opened/removed exhaust flows out it unmuffled. Look on summit or jegs you should find some.

Re: Aggressive Monster
I'm surprised your setup isn't loud as is.
GMMGs have amazing sound from what I recall of a video of one, otherwise the cutout is always a good option. I have a dynomax catback 2.5, pacesetter mid-tubes(1 1/4" or 1 5/8" primaries) into 2.25 y-pipe, and a 2.25 in, 2.5 out magnaflow cat, on a 3.4 and its pretty damned loud, I can certainly grab attention with it(probably going to grab too much one of these days....)....it honestly doesn't sound much different to me with the catback on than just open headers, sound or volume wise, idk if they would be as good for a v8 or not, but I'm more than happy with my dynomax catback, was worried it might not sound good after dumping $700 into the exhaust, fortunately it does, none of that raspy tinny crap most 3rd gen v6s have.
Also, I don't know for sure offhand, but you probably have too much diameter for your setup, true duals is kind of overkill for that amount of power imo. I wouldn't run duals on less than 400-500 hp personally. If money were no option, I would spring for a gmmg or maybe a borla. And eventually when I have more to throw around I still might, you should go on youtube, try to find some exhaust videos.
