MagnaFlow Exhaust Installation Question
Hey guy's, I'm installing a Magnaflow system on my '86 Z28 and am having some trouble with the band clamps provided by Magnaflow. Seems I position them correctly, torque them down pretty good but yet the intermediary pipes are still not snugging up like I thought they would. Anyone have issues with them before ???

Re: MagnaFlow Exhaust Installation Question
Yep, I had the same issues with some of the magnaflow clamps.
The problem is that the band contacts the internal spacer, so that
it can't be contracted down sufficiently. The easiest solution I found
is to cut a short (~1/2") of pipe, then make a cross cut, so it can
be opened up. Insert it under the clamp like a shim, and then it
will tighten down sufficiently.
If I managed to get the pic uploaded...
