Quietest Exhaust??
I have a 4th gen Magnaflow on my RS with a 3" Magnaflow cat and Edelbrock TPI TES Headers. Its loud. I like it, my wife hates it. What can I do to quiet it down? Dynomax muffler? Something else? I can always take my Magnaflow off and put it on my Trans Am, so I don't mind switching to something else.
I know this is the opposite of what most people want on this board, but I figured I'd try anyway! Thanks to those who can help.

Ya, that Dynomax is just a little bit more than stock. I love it though.

Re: Quietest Exhaust??
Dynomax (Walker if you want to get technical) makes at least 3 different series of muffler for thirdgens. The "Quiet Flow" is basically a stock replacement and is probably quieter then stock. The "Super Turbo" and "Ultraflow" are louder, but still relatively quiet. Marginally louder then stock.
I've got an Edelbrock cat-back on the Iroc and it's quiet enough that people don't turn and give dirty looks, but it's got a nice growl at WOT. Anything less is quiet.
The GM mufflers on the Formula and the convertible are quiet, but I don't like unwanted attention.

I've just got the superturbo, but with hooker 2460s and a 2.5" ypipe, you hear her fire up from a few blocks away, and at wot it just sounds amazing! So so great, not too much droning while cruising either. I'd highly suggest it.

Hooker Aerochamber here too. Of all the cars and exhaust I've owned, I love the sound of this one. Not real loud but definitely makes a statement.

Re: Quietest Exhaust??
The original exhaust with my build was the Edelbrock cat back with a Dynomax bullet in place of the cat. I ended up very displeased with the quality of the Edelbrock muffler but the system fit nicely and the sound with the bullet replacing the cat was fairly mild. I think that the dynomax would probably mellow the sound of any aftermarket exhaust quite well. It quiets the higher frequencies while leaving the deeper tones. Any added restriction is minimal.
