best exaust system for a carbed 355 no cat

i bought an 85 camaro off a guy a few months back and now im started on the process of making it my own. ive been researching exaust for a while and i cant really figure out what i should get. its a 355, comp cams with shorty headers and since it doesnt have to pass emissions im not going to bother spending the money to run a cat. i want that loud cam idle and i want it to be loud and agressive but not earsplitting at WOT. something that wont drone. also preferably somethin would counteract the raspyness of a catless system

Go with 2 3/4 pipe from headers true duals to and h pipe somewhere in the middle then over the rear with no mufflers, Just did this to my cr and sounds amazing. you get a little popping when at idle and run it up to around 4500 but not too loud while driving and sounds throaty at idle. If i can get a video of mine running I will.

Re: best exaust system for a carbed 355 no cat

I have a 355, Vortec heads ect, running Hedman Hedders 1 5/8 primary to 2.5 collector into a 3" hi flow cat, to a Ravin muffler. I have been told ??? that a 3" single is approximatly the same as having two 2.5 pipes out? I don't think they make Ravin anymore, but I'm really happy with this set up.
