Car: 88 formula; 06 cobalt ss
Engine: 305 tpi; 2.4 ecotec
Transmission: WC T-5; F23
Axle/Gears: 3.45 posi; 3.84
SLP headers but need a y pipe
I just bought a pair of SLP headers off of craigslist for 125 bucks but the didnt include a y pipe does any1 know of a piece that will just bolt right up to them or am i gonna have to buy a custom y pipe which is gonna be expensive

im not sure of anything that will bolt rite up,,but im sure you can buy something from another company and do some modifying and make it work,,ill look on the web a little and see what i come up with.
but let me know how those SLP headers work,,im looking at a set on craigslist as well for 250$

Ya i ended up scoring them for $100 bucks and theirs like no rust on them but i checked the internet and there really wasnt saying anything about a replacement besides a custom y pipe

You guys are lucky. I paid $450 for mine when I bought them from Summit back in 2000. The y-pipe is 2 1/4 into 3in pipe. Have a muffler shop make you a 2 1/2 to 3in. Flowmaster has y-pipe you can build on. It's a 2 1/2 into 3in.

thanks for all the help u wanted to see if a brand they sell at summit like hedman y pipes or hooker y pipes would work bc the exhaust shop quoted me $375 for a custom one and their the only ppl that actually do good work around my area

Anyone with SLP headers run anything besides an slp y pipe? the edelbrock y looks identical would that work?
