Summit turbo muffler tell me whacha think!!

I am doing a ls1 t56 swap and am using the 1 3/4 stainless works long tubes money is running low and i am going to use a flowmaster merge to single 3in over the axle in stock location to summit 3 in inlet and 3 in outlet turbo muff. Has anyone ever used these on our cars any xperience with flow compared to dynomax magnaflow or aerochamber just curios thanks!!

That turbo muffler is a similar/same design as the Dynomax Super Turbo and Thrush Turbo muffler. They're a pretty good flowing design that's only a little louder than stock. An alternative for the same money would be a Thrush or Summit chambered muffler (Flowmaster clone).

Thanks jim i think i will stay with the turbo style in hopes that it will flow better than the chambered design

I picked up a pair of them for the '57 about 5 years ago. Unless they've changed since then, only the pipe flanges are 3" - the tubes inside the muffler go to about 2-1/4" before the perforations start. Extremely disappointing. Sounded good (really, really nice, IMO), but were too restrictive.

They only had one like that at the time, so it must have been the 2-1/2" one.

Hmmm, maybe I'll order up a pair of the other ones. . .
