header question with 5 speed tranny

before anybody ridicules me i have used the search button. i was just wondering if there are any full lengeth headers that will fit my car. all the headers i look at say they only fit the th350 and a 700r4 transmission. but i have a 5 speed. is there anyway to modify them to make them fit? and can they be had for under 200 dollars?

Re: header question with 5 speed tranny

The only LT headers I've seen for under 200 are the Hedman 1 5/8" and they hit the slave cylinder mount. I'm sure you could move the collector lower and go under the slave with some cutting and welding.

Re: header question with 5 speed tranny

ive done a few camaros with long tubes and came up with a good fabrication so no banging or bending of the headers was necessary.involves cutting and welding.......

Re: header question with 5 speed tranny

this is my first car, but ive been dealing with engines and cars ever since i can remember, so if thats all thats involved i think ill find a cheap used pair and attemp it. the reason i went lt headers is that ive shortys give up horsepower
