Just got the new 383 tpi running today and was wondering how long until i can take the old manifolds off and put on my new ceramic coated headers? When is it safe for the coating and such?

Re: ceramic coated header question

until the engine is broken in and not running hot because it is new. its the heat from a new engine that kills the coated headers.

or you can break it in on a bench and monitor the heat that way.
