TES Edelbrock Headers
Hello ppl,
Well idk if this is the right place to start this thread but i put on some TES edelbrocks on my RS. During the installation we broke the sensor below the stock manifolds on the passenger side which r now the TES edelbrocks. That sensor is the fan switch sensor which we replaced as soon as it broke. So we replaced it then we bolted on the headers and at the end we plugged the wire into the sensor but i guess the sensor had like a plastic clip or something and it was broken. So the wire going into the sensor isnt very well clipped on, well its in all the way but not clipped. So the reason why i am saying all this is that now when i drive the RS when i guess the engine get to its regular temp. instead of staying in the 220 mark or lower in the temp. gauge it goes past it to the next line. I would like to know if this is normal and if this happens to everyone with TES edelbrocks. Hope hearing some feedback.

i have the edelbrock on mine and no its not normal you should recheck your connection at the sensor sounds like it s a bad connection still go to a junk yard or somewhere and get that plastic connector so it fits snuggly again

Re: TES Edelbrock Headers
you could purchase the "pig tail" for that sensor you should be fine after that, any major auto parts will carry them and if not they will be able to order that connection "pig tail"

the knock sensor pig tail will also work for the cooling fan switch.

You'll need to cut off the old broken connector and solder on the new pigtail connector.
