Jet hot coating?
I just purchased a set of headers for my Camaro. I was wondering if I should send them out to get a coating from Jet hot. Any advice or opinions welcome...

Re: Jet hot coating?
Well worth the money. It will improve the life of the headers, make them look ten times better, help lessen the underhood temps, and help keep you from burning up spark plug wires. Also, with Jet Hot, you get one free re-coat. So if you're ever unhappy with the coating, ship them off and have them coated again for free. It's worth it. Also, now is the time to get them coated--before ever installing them on the car. That way you won't have to take the headers back off the car later to send them to Jet Hot.

Ok, I guess I will probably go ahead and get a coating done then. Is it true that you might get more power out of the headers with a coating? I saw something that said you could on their website

Re: Jet hot coating?
It could by lowering the underhood temps, but I would think any gain would be minimal horsepower-wise.
I thought of another reason to get the coating too--you won't have to worry about your starter getting heat soaked from uncoated headers and leaving you stranded, lol.
