Who has had success with Flowtech?
Im looking for anyone that has had good success and would recommend the Flowtech headers and Y pipe for their camaro. Not really looking for great gains in performance, just trying to clean up the engine bay and getting the cool look of headers, im pleased with the performance of my car the way it is right now. Let me hear you guys!

Well, I've got the summit headers which are identical to the flowtechs... they're not too bad for a stock engine, definitely better than the manifolds. People will tell you that the Y-pipe is aweful, and I used to think that before I bought one, in the manufacturer's pictures the passenger side of the Y looks like it attaches at a 90 degree angle to the y-pipe... but it's not nearly as bad once you see it in person... it's more like 60 degrees. The only real gripe I had with these headers is that the bolt holes didn't line up perfectly to the block and I had to grind 3 of the holes on the headers a little to get the bolts to go in.
The only problem I see with your plan is that they are going to get surface rust pretty quickly, so if you want them to be pretty you'd probably be better off getting ceramic coated Hooker 2055's with a hooker Y-pipe.

Im going to clean em up and spray them with some high heat paint. Im not that really worried about some surface rust case the original manifolds are all covered in rust anyway.

I'm also running the Summits, wrapped mine with the DEI wrap and sprayed them with black paint. My only complaint is O2 bung wasn't drilled when I got them PITA to drill it out. Y Pipe bolted right up. no problems.

Sounds like a decent plan then... make sure to take all of the paint off that comes on them if you plan to respray as that stuff is just there for storage and shipping and burns off very quickly.
