Turndown Question
I have the hooker cat back installed on my camaro. It sounds really deep at idle, but when you rev it up it cackles just a little on deceleration. A buddy of mine said that if I went with turndowns instead of the hooker 3" dual tips that the kit comes with, that the cackle will be slightly less noticable and the exhaust will sound a little better in the upper RPMs. Is there any truth to this at all?

Re: Turndown Question
You might get less noise because your pointing it at the ground but it will still be there.

Re: Turndown Question
That blatt, crackle--or what ever you want to call it is due to the fact that it's a crossflow muffler. Nothing you can do about it, short of finding a way to get a thru-flow muff in there.

Re: Turndown Question
Well seeing as it isn't that bad with the hooker muffler. I guess I will just deal with it. The Hooker aerochamber has no where near the cackle that my flowmaster had
