Do Spintech's have the Flowmaster crackle if no cat?

Check my sig for motor specs. Im wanting to redo my exhaust once I get my interior finished. I know for a fact that I want Spintech, 90% of the clips I have heard sound amazing and they flow better than my Dynomax. Right now I got some heddman shorties into their y-pipe (cut for single 3" outlet) into a dynomax bullet dumped before the axle. I still have the 3" over axle pipe from when I had my Dynomax Superturbo on which I want to reuse when I get the spintech. My question to you fellas is this:

Do spintechs (or any muffler for that matter) have that annoying flowmaster crackle when letting off throttle when there is no cat. converter? I would assume this is true for stock motors, but I didnt know if it would also be true for highly modded/built motors. Performance is a definite factor Im looking at, but above that Im looking for the sound. Superturbo was too quiet, bullet is way too loud. I wanna run the Spintech in the stock location with a 3" in/out. Also trying to figure out which model Spintech to go with, there seems to be quite a few to choose from. Any input?

I can't say I know anything about Spintechs, but I do know my Bullets cackled something fierce, and my Flowmaster w/o cat doesn't. I still don't like the Flowmaster sound, though.

my spintech muffler doesnt crackle at all. the sound is alot cleaner at least to me than a flowmaster.

Does spintech make a crossflow muffler with 3" inlet and dual 2 1/2" outlets? If so does anyone have a part number? I just think it looks real funky driving up behind a 3rd gen and not seeing two pipes comming out the back!

Just hang up a fake tip! (Preferably one with subtle differences in style and finish than the functional one that produces smoke)

those vids that spintech have up on their site are pretty convincing, but then again Im not runnin a solid roller BB. Im not runnin a car either, nor a resonator. so thats why Im concerned with the crackle. Most of my cars that have that kind of crackle I just put a resonator on (or a bigger one) and that solves the problem

i have short video doesnt really help much, but this is with the cat and no blower, it sounds a bit different without the cat and with the blower.

yes when you order from spintech you can get any type of crossflow muffler you want from 2 1/2 inlet to 4 inch inlet. also from 2 1/2inch outlets to 4. great company to deal with. they make the muffler after you order it.

Re: Do Spintech's have the Flowmaster crackle if no cat?

My buddy's 5.0 Mustang has spintechs and I LOVE the way it sounds. Whenever I get the extra cash I will defiitely be putting one on my 'bird to replace the Edelbrock turbo muffler that came with my cat-back system. I had the Flowmaster before (loved it too) and I never had a crackle even w/o a cat.

343 SC is the part number for the 3" in/ 2.5" dual out muffler. I think 344 SC is for the 3" in/dual out.

Re: Do Spintech's have the Flowmaster crackle if no cat?

Ive always been interested in the physics of exhaust sounds, i.e. how certain bends and different size primaries would affect the sound (just always wonderd about that). Would you say that having LT's could let the motor breathe better, whereas shorties are a little more restrictive causing popping/backfiring, or am I looking at this at the wrong angle?
