Can I fix this hanger without welding?
I'm getting ready to order some SFCs, at which point I will get the shop to also fix the hanger. However, rather than fork out the $30-40 now for 5 minutes of welding (Which would surely be thrown in during the SFC install as I pay per hour), I'm wondering if there is a temporary fix.
Basically, I have an exhaust hanger (It holds the pipe the goes into the muffler) that has broke:
Is there any type of hanger I can get that would allow me to fix this without welding for now?
When I look at it, I wonder if there is a piece I can get that will clamp on the pipe exiting the muffler (Straight below) that can utilize the rubber piece (to loop through) and hold it in place. I've searched through Jegs/Summit/Napa and can't seem to find a picture of anything useful.
Right now the pipe is banging on a bar (it's in front of the panhard bar) and I'm not too thrilled with the banging that's going on because I think it would stress the whole system (And if the pipes are hot already, wouldn't they be more prone to bending?). So I'm looking for a temp fix, so that I can hold out until the SFCs get installed.

Re: Can I fix this hanger without welding?
I'm almost wondering if there is some way I can get one of these:
to attach to the pipe that leaves the muffler and then attach it to the rubber piece (in the picture above) that attaches to the frame?
The only problem is I don't see any sort of "attachment" to connect the clamp (pictured above) to the rubber piece attached to the body (Pictured in my first post).

Go to a home store and get a piece of about 1" x 1/8" steel strip stock; cut off a piece about 4" long, bend it and twist it. Use one of those clamps to clamp it to the pipe, and stick it through the stock hanger.
And as already said, put a bolt back into the hanger thing, to hold it up where it belongs.

Looks to me like everything is there but one bolt to mount the thing to the frame.
Unless I've gone blind.

The rust around the hole is from the bolt working itself loose. Get yourself a 5/16 self tapping screw and run it up in there. Everything else appears to be good to go.
