Using Corvette Ram Horn Exhaust Manifolds...

I am slowly putting a new engine together for my 1988 IROC.

Due to a major back injury that will take another six months to still recover from, and many negative experiences with exhaust headers in the past, I am attempting to explore the benifits/drawbacks of switching over to the Corvette Rams horn manifolds for clearance, longevity, and ease of use. It is my understanding that they build power if set up a specific way with Flowmaster parts.

Can anyone confirm or add to this solution attempt? In six more months of intensive Physical Therapy, I might be able to start bending over my engine compartment again.

Oh, the engine is going to be a well built ZZ4 blocked, all forged, california smog legal, heavy torqued fuel injectied power unit. Flowmaster corp is only a few minutes drive from my house and I'm planning on stopping in once I know the correct questions to ask.

Feed me words of truth here on out boyz!!! Have a talented and frutefull week. Sincerely, Nitro

There is something better on the market than the rams horn manifold. There is a company in California that makes a cast iron "header type" manifold. Their name escapes me for the moment. They make different versions so I'm sure one would fit.
