How hard is it to install Hooker 2210s on the 305 TBI?

How hard is it to install Hooker 2210s on the 305 TBI?
From the threads I have encountered on the search function, I understand you need to have an exhaust shop fab up a Y-pipe for you but you may also have to order a new tranny crossmember?
Jegs sell the longtubes for a good price and I wanna score on those as soon as I get my tuning software stuff in.
And how noticeable is it on the TBI car? Alot of people say the Hooker 2055s are excellent choices, that may be, but I was convinced to go with long tubes if I was to make any real power.

im expecting around 20 hp with a full tune...I think 30hp is a bit of an over exaggeration...still not bad gain though.
